City tours, guided tours & tickets 2025

Hello and welcome to

Hamburg Erlebniswelt!

Hamburg is our home port, and as passionate tour guides and local patriots, we offer tours full of Hanseatic charm, humor, and Hamburg's must-sees. Hamburg is the city of fish sandwiches, the Elbe River, and not to forget our famous nightlife in St. Pauli.

Whether you're visiting the Elbe metropolis for the first time or are already an old hand in the Hanseatic city, we promise you city tours that will make you laugh and at the same time provide you with interesting facts and stories about the city!

The best Hamburg tours 2025

Here is a selection of our most popular city tours with knowledge, humor and Hanseatic charm

Do you know..

Did you know, for example, that the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie is a real heavyweight and weighs as much as two and a half cruise ships the size of the Queen Mary II?

Or that there are more bridges in Hamburg than in Venice and London combined?

But don't worry, you don't have to be a math genius to enjoy this tour. We'll focus on the most important things: the sights, the history, and, of course, the city's cultural significance.

There are no limits to great content

Our city tours are exciting from start to finish – that's our goal. We'll take you on an entertaining journey through time. We'll tell you interesting stories about the places and people, chat about real life, and occasionally crack a corny joke. We're allowed to, after all, because we come from the flatlands.

If you don't like the tour, don't worry - most tours are over after 2 hours.

We can also be completely serious, with a certain touch of Hanseatic understatement. Whatever you wish, because our primary goal is to make your visit to Hamburg an unforgettable experience!

And now you are spoiled for choice.

We offer public tours at fixed times, but all of them can also be booked exclusively as private tours at your desired time, for example as a shore excursion for cruise guests, school trips, company outings or for tour groups.

So, grab your camera, put on your best smile, and let's get going! We'll meander through the city's charming streets, marvel at breathtaking architecture, and, of course, indulge in a fish sandwich or two. Hamburg is our home base. Discover the Hanseatic city with us and let our enthusiasm infect you, even at the risk of wanting to stay forever. One thing is clear: Each of our Hamburg tours is a declaration of love for the greatest city in the world.

"Hamburg" always works. Whether it's bright sunshine, rain, or sometimes foggy, often gray, but always beautiful. Hamburg actually works without words; it's a feeling, and we'll let you feel it – whatever the weather!

"Tour" And Contact Form

If you're visiting Hamburg for the first time or have limited time, we recommend a city tour. During the tour, you'll learn all the important information about Hamburg's sights.

City tours

On our private city tour, our driver-guide will explore the city and the gigantic and unique harbor with you. As a special highlight, enjoy the fascinating view from the Köhlbrand Bridge and visit the Duckdalben Seamen's Mission with us.

A day ticket for the hop-on/hop-off double-decker bus with our partner gives you the opportunity to interrupt the tour at any time. The tour is offered daily and is moderated either by certified tour guides live in German or via an audio system in seven languages (German, English, French, Russian, Italian, Spanish, and Chinese).

You can also easily book a guide for a city tour in your own bus. If you're traveling with a larger group, our guide can easily board your bus. If you're not traveling with your own bus, we have favorable rates with bus companies. Use our contact form.

Why a guided tour in an unfamiliar city is worthwhile? You'll learn more than if you Google it beforehand or pick up a travel guide. We have some compelling arguments for that—find out HERE.

At times, Hamburg presents itself as Hanseatic and refined, at times Nordic and rugged—at times traditional, at others modern. In some places, a vibrant urban jungle, yet just around the corner, you find a completely different Hamburg, idyllic with a village feel. Our Elbe metropolis defies categorization and is constantly reinventing itself. And it's precisely this diversity that's best discovered by taking a stroll through the streets and neighborhoods with open eyes, accompanied by guides who live and love this city every day.

A Hamburg trip requires a neighborhood tour like fish on a fish sandwich, and because that fits so well together, the fish is included in our Sex, Drugs & Fish Sandwich tour. And for those traveling with families—don't worry, the neighborhood doesn't have to wait until the little ones are 18. Instead, we offer our short Moin St. Pauli tour with less hustle and bustle and red-light districts.

As much as we love showing you the little hidden gems off the beaten track, we're just as keen to showcase Hamburg's landmarks. Maritime flair, UNESCO World Heritage sites, futuristic architecture, and everything related to the Elbphilharmonie await you on our Speicherstadt & HafenCity tour. Historical but by no means boring, our Old Town & New Town tour takes you to Hamburg's oldest sights: City Hall, St. Nicholas Church, Deichstraße, and St. Michael's Church, where many a disaster comes to light.

And then we have our special adventure tours for advanced beer drinkers. Did you know that Hamburg was the brewing city of the Hanseatic League in the Middle Ages? On our beer tour for private groups, you'll learn all about it.

Reviews

"The reason why people like to live here is because people feel first, then think, then talk."

"Finally, something a little different. A very cool and different tour. I highly recommend it."

"Everything went as planned. We were picked up directly from the hotel. Great service. We learned a lot about Hamburg. The three hours flew by. I recommend it to everyone. Worth every cent."

"The guide was able to present to us with joy "his Hamburg," with its "roots," the harbor that has made the city so rich and uniquely beautiful. We not only saw a lot in comfort but also gained a wealth of new information that will stay with us when we think back on the wonderful time we spent in beautiful Hamburg."
